great tune

well i'm a fan i think we've gathered that. a simply roaring tune, i cant fault it really, maybe a few more supporting instruments, and your volume needs raising on the overall track. it ould fit so well in an epic film this, wonderful stuff.

yet again another fifen and another download,

pitters

loves you

curriemaster responds:

Hey Im glad you like it! This is the first tune I made after learning to use MIDI (hence "The First Step" so its pretty basic but its a nice tune in its own way I guess.

Thanks you stud.

and still they keep coming

another top notch tune, it's a nice foray into electronica curriemaster. really chilling and a nice choice of chords and keys.

again i'll reiterate that i feel you're a live muso but you've defiantely got a knack for all things musical.

the whole arrangement is cool, tho the choice of some sounds are a bit.... well you know what i mean, a few sines and saws which i think could have been better with a proper synth but what the heck its a good tune.

you keep em coming.

pitters

curriemaster responds:

Yea its pretty different on the choices of samples used I think...this is one of the first tunes that I made after I discovered how to use MIDI properly so its not exactly brilliantly executed! I do love playing some sweet sweet piano and guitar though. ;)

Cheers for the review bud.

not one of my favourites but.....

another great tune. I do think your more of a live muso' though, but still a very nice track, and you saying before you cant work drums, you seem to be doing just fine from what i can hear.

i think a rmix would be in order for this tho and a few more supposrting instruments, say a bit of guitar perhaps. cos the mix does feel quite empty.

id have a go at trying to do a drum n bass mix or a proper dance track.

get a fifen, but not my download on this one. : )

curriemaster responds:

Hehe I understand mate, this is one of my least favourite tracks. I just made it to prove to a friend of mine that I could actually make a drumbeat. Pretty video gamey, though, which is why I put it up on NG but not my soundclick site!

Remix away my friend!! And cheers for the review.

wonderful stuff yet again

that guitar riff is ace, lovely bit of spanish flamenco, and that rhythm ection, ohhhh yes, fucking brilliant. this is another going in my download box. you deserve far more exposure than you have at the moment your going into my exposure thread.

you my friend are a true talent.

fifen once more

pitters

curriemaster responds:

Wow thats really great of you man, Im very glad that you have enjoyed the music that much :). This is actually just an intro to a song that Ive never finished although I know how it should go...one day my friend one day...

Thanks mate.

classic mate classic

that piano is absolutley gorgeous,i never knew you were this talented man. and that oboe really compliments the mix. the production is awesome really clear and crisp. what do you work in?

it only needs a couple of things to really put thatfinal sheen on it, drums that add not distract, a vocal and possibly, a string quartet.

great stuff though. If you EVER wanna collab, just holla and i'll come a running with guitar in hand.

fifen yet again

pitters

curriemaster responds:

Of course I would be happy to do a collab with you! Ive never done one before and it sounds like fun!

Its certainly a pretty minimalist song, I really dont like the contrabass as it just follows the root note and doesnt really seem to add anything. Maybe one day Ill get round to changing it.

I use Cubase LE and thats it...I dont hold with this multiple program malarkey! Give me a shout if you ever want to get together on a song or two, and thanks again for the review ;)

lovely stuff

i aint the biggest classical fan as you probably noticed, but this tunes relly cool, it'd fit nicely into an rpg orsumthing or scoring some cartoon. your porduction is sweet, crisp and clear. and the phrases compliment eachother well. cool track

fifen

curriemaster responds:

Cheers man, I didnt intend it to be so melodramatic at first but it certainly turned out that way! There is a slight mistake at one point in the middle but hopefully its not too noticeable...

Cheeeeeeeeers!!

well what can i say

the beats are absolutley wicked. damn you've got an ear for a beat. not oneof your best but still far better than a lot of peoples stuff.

fifen

darkness on a plate

great little loops, really spacey, and i love a bit of ethnic tuneage. gets my vote

Loving it

I'm a massive drum and bass fan and this track rocks man. very rare to find goo drum n bass on here, but you've got it damn near perfect. great track, great beats. and that vocal is ace too.

Apoplexia responds:

thanks a lot for the review!

i think the worst part is, it's actually my favorite track out of everything i've made and i worked on it for only 3 days...while a lot of other tracks took months to make...

oh well....inspiration be a cruel mistress...

but still...if i can get myself to make other tunes of this quality i'd be in dnb heaven

I need some new teeth, my gums bleed, i have crabs and herpes. help me lord
